The program acts as a Web filter, displaying only sites that are allowed, or not showing sites that are not allowed. Guardian Parental Control works with Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, and Opera.
It prevents Web browsers from loading and displaying Web sites of inappropriate or potentially annoying information (violence and sexual content, use of offensive language, etc.). When installed on your computer the Parental Control & Web Filter program has thousands of Web site addresses in categories organized in the program's database. These addresses were compiled by our development and security teams. In addition, our global servers maintain the master database, which is constantly updated by our research teams as new Web sites are published or discovered. The program on your computer allows you to update your database from our global servers.
